True collaboration paves the way for extraordinary interiors

As bespoke joinery specialists with a passion for design and craftmanship we understand how to turn the ordinary into the extraordinary. We’ve worked closely with architects on hundreds of interior fit out projects over the last two decades. Our aim is to make the journey from initial design concept through to materials specification, manufacture and installation, as smooth as possible. Here are just some of the ways we’re able to support our architectural clients to bring their designs to life.

Collaborative design

True teamwork and collaboration is at the heart of any successful project. We like to fully immerse ourselves in a project and work very closely with the architectural team to understand what they’re wanting to achieve and how we can help make that vision a reality while balancing budget and programme schedules. We’ll undertake site visits at the outset of a project to visualise the space, taking into account various factors such as the level of natural light and which areas will be prone to high levels of traffic etc.

At the design stage, as well as creating CAD drawings and 3D renders, we can also work with architects to collate samples of materials and finishes into a tangible mood board to showcase how the different textures and tones complement or contrast with each other to meet the overall design brief and create a cohesive space.

Because we manufacture in house, we’re able to keep our architectural clients informed every step of the way – they can even arrange a visit to our factory in Essex to see their project taking shape. We can create full-scale mock-ups of designs where required so for clients to review ahead of installation to make sure that everything meets the brief precisely.

Materials in the spotlight

Transforming raw materials, whether man-made or natural, into something beautiful and unique is what we do. We work with a vast array of products in different finishes and colours to create bespoke interiors that will stand the test of time. The team keeps a close eye on new trends to stay ahead of the curve and we’re constantly adding to the materials we work with, such as new products made using recycled plastic or stone.

As sustainability becomes an increasingly important aspect of the design brief, it has put the materials we’re working with, and their provenance, into sharp focus. Last year we were proud to become a Constructionline Gold member which demonstrates our ongoing commitment to the environment, our social value ethos, the quality of our products and the diversity of our workforce. We also work within the parameters required to meet all environmental accreditations including WELL, LEED, SKA, BREEAM and PEFC and this includes the materials that we work with.

In the last few years, we’ve completed some of our most eye-catching interiors for architectural practices in and around London including Hawkins Brown, HTA, SOM and Zaha Hadid giving the creative teams somewhere inspiring to shape their future projects (more on this to follow). If you’ve got a project in mind that you’d like to discuss, get in touch with the team and we can start the process with you.
