Crafting spaces, Cre8ing impact – 2025 trends
We pride ourselves creating truly bespoke interiors with no two projects ever the same. Having worked in the commercial fit out sector for more than two decades, we’ve witnessed our fair share of trends come and go. In this blog we reflect on the current trends shaping commercial spaces from workspaces to hospitality venues.

Resimercial design – where residential meets commercial
From offices with gym facilities and cafés being used as places to work, traditional boundaries have been redrawn as the way we use different spaces has become more fluid. This is in turn impacting interior design and the resimercial trend perfectly encapsulates this blurring of lines between different spaces.
Resimercial interior design combines elements of both residential and commercial design and is becoming popular in hotels and other public spaces. The goal of a resimercial interior is to create a space that is comfortable and welcoming, while also being functional with a professional aesthetic. We’ve seen a steady growth in office spaces embracing the principles of resimercial design to create a home-away-from-home environment for office workers. Getting textures, patterns and tones that wouldn’t look out of place at home is key so it’s important to pay attention to the materials you specify and the colour scheme you use for furnishings and decor.
The resimercial trend is a natural evolution of modern office design with offices now typically designed to include a variety of different working, meeting and socialising spaces such as cosy nooks for quiet work or breakout spaces for collaboration, alongside café and bar areas, outdoor terraces and End of Trip facilities. All of which bring elements of home into the office.

Interiors inspired by nature
Another trend that continues to gain ground is biophilic design which is all about bringing nature into the built environment. It’s about making a conscious choice to use natural materials and patterns, or those designed to mimic natural materials, as well as organic patterns and of course greenery. It’s a trend that’s here to stay, having captured the imagination of designers and end users alike, in fact this year’s PANTONE colour of the year – PANTONE 17-1230 Mocha Mousse – is described as a shade “infused with earthy refinement”.
Incorporating real greenery is a core principle of the biophilic trend. This can be effective on a small scale through the use of indoor planters, while large living walls can be used to create a striking backdrop to a reception atrium, meeting room or café space.
Biophilic design creates impact by softening a space, bringing the outside in and tapping in to our connection with the outside world. Research has shown that incorporating biophilic design elements into an office space can boost productivity, creativity and wellbeing – so it’s a trend that delivers so much more than aesthetics alone.
While every project we complete is unique, sustainability is a common thread that increasingly connects them. We’re proud to be able to work with our clients to create designs that prioritise sustainability and deliver a bespoke finish that’s as individual as they are.
