Ealing Gateway, London

The striking reception and entrance area sits beneath the spacious atrium and sets the tone for the new look Ealing Gateway building perfectly with its clean lines and soft hued colour palette creating a warm, welcoming space. We installed acoustic wall panels around the atrium to soften the noise in such a large area and also manufactured and installed the bespoke reception desk which takes centre stage in the reception area. The desk is manufactured using MDF for the side panels and fronts spray-painted in the off-white ‘Slaked Lime Dark’ paint from the Little Greene paint company and faced with solid surface Corian in the ‘Linen’ shade designed to mimic the appearance of natural stone. The finishing touch is the Forbo insert for a unique desk to match the refreshed space.

Another key aspect of the refurb, and the first phase of the project we delivered, was creating the new staff shower facilities working alongside our partner company Washroom Washroom. The shower and changing rooms mirror the style of the new reception area with the same neutral colours used to link the different areas together for a cohesive design.

The team manufactured and installed bespoke vanity units and make-up counters using Solid Surface Corian in the same natural stone effect ‘Linen’ finish specified for the reception desk. The vanity units feature an integrated bin chute to keep washrooms clean and tidy while the black finish ironmongery matches the cubicles and the tile grouting to bring the design together. The new lockers, which we manufactured using white MDF carcasses and doors with black laminate plinths and digital locks, provide a secure storage solution for staff.
We also delivered some additional refurbishment works in the other washroom areas, such as replacing vanity tops, as a way to breathe new life into key areas without a complete overhaul of the washroom areas for a more sustainable and cost-effective solution.

We’re two separate but linked companies and by joining forces we can combine our collective skill and expertise for projects with both washroom and joinery elements, ensuring all common areas of a building tone in and feel connected. Ealing Gateway is an excellent example of how this works in practice.
