From design to completion: four months
Tucked away in a quiet part of Covent Garden, Imperial House is an office building with a charm and character all of its own and behind the beautiful brick façade it has been completely refurbished. Working closely with the architectural team, we completed a high-end fit out on all eight levels of the building.
The most eye-catching part of the design is the new reception area and its focal point – a striking new reception desk. Finished with a high-end engineered metal surface wrap from Graphic Relief in a vibrant shade of yellow, the reception desk also features a bespoke Corian interior work surface. We installed lightweight real rustic Concrete feature wall panels around the reception area which the team carefully CNC cut to allow the bespoke brass signage to be inset.
We also installed bespoke feature wall panelling within the reception area. This is made up of two elements, an upper section comprising a series of dark grey anodised ribs on a textured brass background, and a lower section of dark grey anodised aluminium plain metal panels. The wall includes two openings with dark grey anodised reveals to the sides of the openings and a textured brass reveal in the soffits above the openings.
The brightly coloured reception desk and bespoke feature wall panelling provide an effective pop of colour among the grey background of the concrete walls.
In addition to the reception area, we delivered bespoke fan coil casings and balustrades throughout the building. We also designed the lift frontage framework including panels faced with sprayed Anolok bronze anodising metal which complete the contemporary space with a unique finish.
To complete the project, we designed and installed new superloos on every floor. Each self-contained cubicle includes a toilet, bespoke Corian wash trough, laminated integrated duct panelling system and bespoke mirror unit.
