North Highland provides business management consultation in the fields of financial services and financial management as well as consulting services in the field of technology. It has offices across the US, Asia and Europe with its London office, based on the eighth floor at 120 Holborn, one of North Highland’s largest regional offices.
We worked closely with the project team on the refurbishment of North Highland’s London office to create a bold and colourful on-trend office space. The unique interior design, including themed meeting rooms and even a set of decorative, fully functional colourful cog wheels which we created, was designed to reflect the company’s mantra to dare to do the extraordinary.
The refreshed office features various different themed meeting rooms designed to inspire creative thinking. The “Reinvent the wheel” room, for example, features a working multi-coloured cog mechanism on the wall which we manufactured and installed, while the “Many hats” room features giant wall-mounted multi-coloured wooden clothes pegs, each with a different hat for staff to wear during meetings to drive creativity. We also installed pine wooden benching around the walls of “The Hub” – another meeting room designed to look like a sauna complete with green carpet and cushions.
In addition to the meeting rooms, we delivered bench seating with inset power sockets in the common areas for smaller, less formal meetings along with breakout seating areas to provide staff with a variety of flexible working spaces which complement the traditional office desk layout. These colourful areas were designed with comfy seating, an integrated table and a barrier to block out background office noise.
The bright yellow kitchen and games room, where we installed kitchen worktops with integrated hot water taps, is a central part of the new office, giving office staff space to relax and unwind.
